Chocolate Pecan Pie
A twist on tradition. This chocolate pecan pie is sure to please.

Ingredients
   
19"pie crust
4Tbsp.butter
3oz.semi sweet chocolate chips
1cuplight corn syrup
0.5cupsugar
1.5tsp.vanilla extract
0.25tsp.salt
1.5cupspecan halves
3wholeegg(s)
Directions
 
Melt butter and chocolate, preferably in a double boiler just until melted. Remove from heat and stir in corn syrup, sugar, salt and vanilla until well mixed. Add eggs, one at a time mixing well after each. Do not over mix or beat - this will add air and make the pie "shitty". Place pecans evenly in bottom of pie crust. Pour chocolate mixture over pecans and bake at 350F for 1 hour until a knife inserted 1" from the edge of the crust comes out clean. Serve with fresh whipped cream or ice cream.
